I grew up living a very sedentary, unhealthy life indoors most of the time. After getting very sick due to my lifestyle, I decided it was time to change. I dropped from my heaviest at 280 lbs down to 135 lbs, learning about the importance of nutrition, fitness, and health-focused living to truly enjoy what life has to offer. I then ventured into the performance side of fitness - competing in CrossFit and Powerlifting while working as a personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach since 2016. After the weight loss journey I learned the value of building small sustainable, positive habits in order to create big transformations. I now compete around 200 lbs and continue to push my strength and performance to see what can be achieved.
Battling with obesity through most of my early life, my turning point was experiencing the consequences of an unhealthy lifestyle at a young age. Constantly getting sick, once to the point I cracked a rib from coughing so much, I needed to change. After losing weight and overcoming the physical health challenges - the battle became internal. I've used lifting as a method to manage mental health by providing structure, discipline and self-fulfillment. Having a hobby that is fun, empowering, and allows me to push myself harder every day has been key to help me manage and enjoy life to the fullest.
My passion for coaching comes from helping people overcome their physical and mental limitations. I work with people looking to elevate their performance in strength or conditioning based sports, as well as people looking to move and live better in their day to day life. If you're tired of telling yourself you can't do something - let's talk!
